It was the alternative fuel drying project that won second place in the Symposium promoted by MVW Lechtenberg & Partner that took place between 19 and 21 September 2018.

Eng. Sandro Conceição, Director of AVE received the award won for the alternative fuel drying project. The drying installation and the upgrade of the transport to the main furnace burner at the Souselas plant allows the use of CDR-RSU (Fuels Derived from Waste with Urban Solid Waste) with high calorific value, reducing its humidity and increasing the thermal substitution. The project was recognized as a practice of excellence in terms of production and sustainable use.
