The use of Refuse-derived fuel (RDF) should be a priority for the waste sector, said Paulo Ferrão, PERSU 2020 [Strategic Plan for Urban Waste] Working Group Coordinator.

According to AmbienteOnline, Paulo Ferrão argues that “it’s very important to develop mechanisms to harness the energy either from refuse-derived fuel in the cement industry, as well as, for example, in new cogeneration projects.”
