On January 29, 2024, AVE received a prestigious award at the 6th edition of the Expresso PME/Caixa TOP.
The ceremony recognized 21 small and medium-sized companies for their outstanding performance in 2022, distin­guishing them and thus celebrating business growth and excellence in Portugal.

Winner in the Energy and Environment category, AVE Gestão Ambiental e Valorização Energética was honored for its outstanding growth in 2022.

This award highlights AVE’s commitment to excellence, innovation and social responsibility and reinforces our com­pany’s fundamental role in environmental management and energy recovery, thus contributing to the fullfillment of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs}, in particular SDG 7 (Clean and affordable energy).

ln Portugal and in some European countries, AVE plays a vital role in the management of various types of waste, from industrial waste to urban waste and even contaminated soil, contributing to the circular economy and avoiding land­fill. But our commitment to decarbonization and the responsible management of raw materials and alternative fuels is becoming crucial, not only to meet circular economy targets, but also to educate and inspire other sectors.

lt is also in 2024 that we celebrate 20 years of existence.
Two decades of recovering more than 5,400,000 tons of waste.
Two decades of more than 3,200,000 tons of CO2 avoided.
Two decades of more than 2,200,000 tons of fossil fuels avoided.
